Hi, Welcome to the forum.
"The training of the eyes to know when an edge is perfectly straight or a surface is flat, free from winding, and straight, is a very important part of a lad's training."

I'm still a student and I will graduate in June this year. I major in business English. I practised in central telephone exchange at a five star hotel last year and now as an seoer in Ningbo net volution electronic commerce co.,ltd.
My father has been a Chinese carpentry for over 30 years. So I have some interst in woodworking. I hope to find a job in international trading company after my graduation.

Since my father is a carpentry, when I was young I often go to his workshop to see him making different furniture, such as doors, tables, desks, TV sets. Among them the most difficult task is to making Chinse antique bed, which looks very beautiful.
I come to this forum to collect info of house decorating and wood working that commonly used in home. I also want to know what's other countries' wood working like. I'm curious.

Hello and welcome Maylinda,
Have a look around our forum, there is a lot of information here for everyone.
Ask many questions, there is always help here.
If you get the chance, please post some photos of your fathers work.
I am sure many here on the Australian Woodwork Forum would love to see some real Chinese woodwork.

Here you can see the bed. The ceiling of the bed is used to preventing from dust. When summer comes, you can put a mousquito net on the ceiling. The most beautiful part is the flowers on the bed, and it takes lots of time to finishing carving those flowers.
