    Bob,
the uses of cane toads are many and varied. People that think they have no use haven't grown up around them. Just a few uses I can think of:
    Golf swing practice
sharpening your driving skills by running them over, once getting them with the drivers side front wheel becomes second nature you try the passenger side, I'm still only getting about a 20% success rate there.
Target practice, archery, air rifle, shanghai, overarm
They eat the dog food leftovers
Surrogate conscience. So that bastard doesn't want to pay you? Seems he's got no conscience. Catch half a dozen (or more) cane toads, tie a large steel nut (at least M12) to each leg on a piece of string about 100 - 150mm long. Gently toss toads onto the (metal) roof of your victim's house late at night. They'll hop around up there for hours keeping him awake. If the bastard's got no conscience to keep him awake the toads will stand in!

I love the one about tying a bolt around their legs... if we had them here I would try it, at least the bastards wouldn'tcomplain about our cats, even thought they are inside all night and cant be ours!, the toad we dont own!!!!
    Gaz......
In this world there are people who allow dogs in their lives, and people that cats allow in theirs.

I'm still undecided on this one, after three years in Cairns I'm still unsure wether the three wood or the five iron gave the best TThhhWock. Neighbour and I in Holloways used to have backyard competition. Any toad that cleared the fence into next doors was a direct hit and scored a point.

The coin holders are good. I have an Uncle who used to makem out of Boomers Ballbags and give away to lady friends at Christmas time. They used to stroke the nice soft fir and go "oohh what is it"

Whats this "target practicewith an air gun". I wont come below a .22. My .38 is quite good and the 12 gauge even better (don't get to close though, splash back becomes a problem).

    Wink

I always found that araldyting an empty 38 cartrige to the end of an arrow gave a suitable thunk as it perforated the cane toads, we used to play a type of golf with these arrows and the toads, with the winner having the most thunks from one point to another. Of course u had to hit the toad to be able to move up to where he was and then target the next one. worked well in torch light
