Surveying the boundry
I have a site identification survey of the front boundary of our (1.25 acre) block done 16 years ago. The side boundaries were marked with a line peg about 15 metres in.
We want to put in a side fence and need the line and of cause the line pegs have gone. One corner peg ( the side we need the fence) is still intact. Another peg appears to be have pushed about 4 cm out of line by a tree root ( now grubbed out) and the other corner peg went when the drive was asphalted ( it is a shared drive and it was in the middle)
I enquired about having another identification survey but at $1250 we can forget that.
I can get the general direction with a compass but not accurately enough - what instument do I need to at least get an accurate line?
