I'm a novice woodworker and only recently started on some elementary projects.
Looking forward to receiving advice and comments from more experienced members.

Hi Stephen, welcome to the forum.
"The training of the eyes to know when an edge is perfectly straight or a surface is flat, free from winding, and straight, is a very important part of a lad's training."

Welcome to this great forum. I am also in Perth, bassendean myself. I quite new to woodwork as well. Towards the end of last year I joined the Fine Woodwork Association. Its a great place to meet people who have different levels of skills. Lots of knowledge to be shared. If you feel like having a look please come down. The club meets every 2nd monday.
