Skirting and architraves - stripping shellac
Hi,
Looking for some tips on stripping shellac from old skirting boards and architraves. Have gutted my 1920's cottage, and now ready to re-fit these items; would dearly love to salvage them, but the time is killing me.
Someone suggested caustic dipping but I've not been able to locate anyone in the Newcastle area with these facilities.
Thanks,
Peter
