Consumer affairs
I spoke with Altona Police again today. Consumer Affairs will investigate trading practices with ASIC if there is enough evidence.
So far they have about 5 registered complaints, If you have not registered yet with consumer affairs, please do so, they need to know. email: [email protected]
The Consumer Affairs Helpline is also available on 1300 55 81 81
It is highly likely that this guy was trading insolvent and will have to face the consequences.Last edited by Groggy; 12th January 2010 at 12:45 PM. Reason: correct email address

Hi all,
we spoke to Scott last saturday who indicated that he had considered closing the business down however after a discussion with someone ( not sure who) he felt that he could work his way out of the problems he has.
He stated that the media attention was not helping the situation - which to me make no sense because this has been going on for us since oct/nov last year. According to him he is planning on rectifying the problems and reimburseing us the money.........IN 6 - 8 WEEKS (excuse me if I am skeptical about this).
Personally I think its another croc of c$&p from him as we wont see a red cent. Anyway we are following through with solicitors, fair trading complaint has been listed and we will be contacting altona police as mentioned in other posts.
Has anyone had any good luck with their situation yet?

Hi Chubby
More spin. the media was only involved in the final week or so so that doesnt explain the months of rubbish.
Best wishes to all!

I have just Spoken to Altona CIU. and they really need all of us to email [email protected] , apparently some people they have talken to have said that they would email but when CIU spoke to consumer affairs yesterday only 2 emails have gone through. The more they get the more chance they have of gaining evidence for a case against him!!!!!!!!.
So please if you have not emailed them [email protected] Do it ASAP and let any one else know about it if they aren't on the forums.Last edited by Groggy; 12th January 2010 at 12:46 PM. Reason: correct email address

Some gov addresses will bounce redirected emails. If you send email through you ISP to another server the gov site might assume it is spam and block it. Send from your ISP direct to be sure that is not the problem.
The email on this page is: [email protected] NOT consumeraffairs@justice.vic.gov.au. I am not sure what is going on with the addresses but the correct one appears to be the first.
Consumer Affairs website is here
