Hi everyone
I've been reading the threads with great interest and learning huge amounts. Yet husband and I are still fairly clueless with all things building. We have a 1950's weatherboard house in Perth. We would like to knock out internal walls (2) to create an open plan kitchen/dining/sunroom, extend our sunroom by 4m2, extend our existing laundry by 3m2 and convert this to a bedroom, place a laundry into our existing hall cupboard and and put an ensuite on to our bedroom. We are thinking of doing this via owner builder license and really have only the advise of my dad - an experienced builder via phone to assist us. Here's our questions, is this a mad thought, given our lack of skills? do you really save that much as an owner builder? what would be the rough price for the building work of this project?
Any and all input would be very gratefully received.
Thanks Clueless in Perth
