More Public Holidays
I'm bored less......wouldn't it be better for all businesses to close for two weeks over christmas as a public holiday?
Surely this time could be better spent with family or in the shed !!!

There are a lot of people that won't get to spend too much time with their families at all this Christmas because they have our best interest at stake, I for one am thankfull for them. Some of them keep me employed

I can't remember ever being bored and I have been around for a while. If you are bored at 35 ( or 17 like some teenagers today) what are you going to say at age 70 ?
There is so much living to be done, just look around you!
Have a busy Christmas!

I retired on the 10/12/04, I am now looking for a job as SWMBO is driving me mad and expects too much from the shed
May just grab the fly rod and vanish for a few days after Xmas.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

It's the same old story, too much time on career that's not satisfying and not enough time with family, friends and community...

Then just when I figured that I could go through life on my own along came the present SWMBO, the best thing to ever happen to me.
In retrospect, I'm not the same person as when I was 40, different values and attitudes. I'm still an arrogant bastard, though I've learnt to control it a bit.
Wouldn't recommend this course of action for anyone, but it did the trick for me.

A few years back, I was a member of a model aeroplane club. A group of us were talking one day - waiting for someone to collect the pieces from his last 'landing', and the subject got onto how we started in aeromodelling. One old buffer told us that on the day he retired, his wife gave him a month to find a hobby or she'd leave him. Smart lady.
