Timber ID please
Happy new year all
Last year I made this bowl for a fundraiser.
Anyway I thought it might have been spotted gum - the blank and its mates were liberated from the nature strip opposite MILs. I based my conclusion on the bark which to me looked like spotty.
Someone commented that it wasn't spotted gum
anyone got any idea what it might be?
here are a couple of blanks from the same liberated nature strip bits of logs. It's about 18 months old and has dried quite stable - very little checking. Sorry don't have a piccy of the bark.
