G'day all
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to ya.
I live in Boulder Creek, CA and have been turning pens now for just over three months. I am totally addicted to it and am looking forward to trying out new things. I have poured my first casting and turned it. It didn't come out he way I had envisioned it but it was still interesting. My wife promptly named it Blueberry Yogurt.
I have been working with wood for a number of years but never in the capacity of artistic creation. It is usually in the realm of putting on a cabinet door, building a box to put into a wall for a cabinet and other related house stuff. Now that I get the chance to play with my artistic side I am having a great time and selling a few as well.
I also turn small bowls, lamps, candle sticks, and build butcher block cutting boards and tables.

What is on the web is actually much less than what I have put out. I have been working non-stop to supply 8 stores and get my fun in. I love doing this...did I mention I was addicted to it? I usually work from 8ish AM till 10ish with occasional time off for good behavior. LOL. And now I just received the pen wizard for Christmas so I may never see the inside of my house again. I have a head full of ideas I am dying to work on from acrylic mixes and designs to cutting designs. I also have a bunch of ideas to try out on other projects as well. And then of course we are dong construction on the house so there is a huge list of projects to keep me occupied getting the house completed. Whew! (I wanna go back and play with my pens...)

Hope everyone's holidays were more than just pleasant and safe. May you truly have enjoyed the time with family, friends, and loved ones. May the safety factor apply to all whom you know. May the rest of your days be filled with surprises that bring smiles and laughter.

G'day Larry and welcome to cyber heaven for woodworkers.
Just wonder how good your pens will be in three years?
