How true but at least I've always had a holiday on my birthday.
Actually this year today has been rather a non event. My wife is in Queensland for a few weeks to look after her elderly mother who last week had a hip operation. So Michelle and I had a quiet lunch by ourselves.
But I'm again in good health and that is the greatest present I could have got, everything else pales into insignificence.
Peter.

John,
I'm busy reorganising a back section of the workshop for turning. Have built 8 drawers into formerly open shelves and have another 3 to go to store the quickly growing collection of tools and accessories for all this.
I have been practising making little things like honey dippers, baby rattles using captive rings, xmass trees, salad servers and today I made 8 handles for the tools I'm making. All utility types of things, not worth posting, but good practice getting the hang of tools.
But I'm starting to get the hang of things. When I learn to make good stuff I'll post but not before.
Peter.
