Motor Home Mark 2
Nothing is ever what it seems, hey? My mate sold his home and bought a second hand (12 months) Swagman Australias. He paid 350K for it, which seemed to be the going price, and with all the extras on this unit it is probably a good deal.
Up he trots to the registary office to transfer the rego and he is hit with a bill for 15.5K; Yoiks!!
Had he known he could have used his sisters address in Qld and saved himself heaps. It would not have been illegal because his motor home is his place of residence and he could have had his postal address in Qld.
Me, I doubt that I could live, all the time , in that close a proximity to a missus, if I had one, and to tell the truth, they are having a bit of settling in as well.
WE have done heaps of modifications on this unit, not major, just setting up power points near the rear end to recieve a single 240v connection as is required in most c/van parks, and giving him two outlets to his fixed connections on the side of the home. I reckon that with what was already on the thing and what is now added any new owner will have to do a three months course on 'Where the F.... is it'. Took us a week to find how to switch on the hot water - switch was under the bed.
It wont last I reckon, his missus can't make pancakes.

PS This stupid computer keeps setting 'typing replaces selection' How do I fix that. Tools won't let it happen from this site and when I change it in Word, it changes back when ever it wants to.
Pancakes??
You can't fix everything with pancakes Alpan. Boy what a small world we live in only room for one pancake per thread would be a good idea, waddyarekon?

But wouldnt the world be a better place if all its ills could be fixed with a pancake??
Rather than fighting and bickering, we could make pancakes for each other.
Owhhhhh. How sweet.

How's chucking pancakes at each other going to solve the fighting and bickering?
Oh, I know. Some silly buggers will eat them and spend the next twelve hours over the long drop.

Trust Bob to get serious. Dammit man, now we'll have to be especially silly to compensate.

Listen to the words, Bob.
[Q UOTE=echnidna]Well if they were only thowing pancakes in Iraq .....
I have to tell you everything, Bob. That's how it all started, Bush sen. threw one at Saddam, Saddam threw one at Bush jun. And that's how the question came about - How are pantyhose and Saddam alike -Answer, They both irritate Bush.
The CIA trod in a couple and fell flat on their face, so don't listen to Alcake, he will lead you up the garden path, trying to tell us that a pancake will fix the world...What a load of rot, don't you agree Bob...Yeah! I knew you would.
Go away yous blokes, leave Bob alone, you know how impressionable he is.

At the risk of being serious: just hit the 'insert' button above the direction keys on your key board - this will flip the system back & forth between 'insert' and 'replace' modes. I think there is also some arcane combination of keystrokes that does the same thing, so if you mis-type the secret word it flip-flops - and there is no little tell-tale light on ordinary keyboards to tell you which mode you are in either.
