One hopes that an adequate solution comes of this. This, in my humble opinion could have easily been resolved at the retail level, but it is excellent to hear that manufacturers still stand behind their product. Even on the other side of the world. One would also think that that is the way it should be.
My 2c worth.

Lets hope the manufacturer will have a stern talking to the retailer.

Sounds like the manufacturer is prepared to stand behind their product and try to ensure their customer is happy. This is an attitude that impresses, and should also have been the attitude of the retailer.
