    Talking Another Newbie

    Hi to everyone,

Like quite a few others I am getting on in years and have decided after many of them that the interest in metal work had better take place before its to late.

What I know about machining you could easily write on the baack of a postage stamp along with my name and address.

I have been reading the threads about choosing a lathe for beginners on this frum for the past couple of weeks and all I can say is Aaaaagh!

Made the big decision today and ordered a SM-0920V from Access, this seemed to have a good response along with those who have dealed with Access on this forum.

Now I have taken the plunge, I will have to set it up and then it's onto the learning process. Hopefully, the TAFE here in Hobart will be running a course in the new year.

If there is anyone from Hobart that reads this forum I would be forever in there debt if they could give me a few pointers.

So far I have found the information on this forum invaluable if not daunting.

    Thanks
