Chasing a Slab
Hi,
We are getting additional powerpoints installed in our old 1960s ground floor apartment. Floor and ceilings are concrete and all walls are rendered brick (no cavity).
Our electricain is a friend of a friend and as a way of keeping costs down he has agreed to let me do the chasing for cables to new powerpoints. He will then come back and wire it up. I suggested chasing the slab as it provided a more direct route and we are installing a new floor so would be easier to cover up as opposed to patching up walls (hard to get a good finish).
Should I be nervous about chasing the slab? Is there any reason why this shouldn't be done?
Advice woud be greatly appreciated!
