Rotting eave's "help"
hello
I need some help on how to fix the edging of the eave's that have rotted.I am the sort of person who all way's done everything my self,I have all the tool's to do the work.I just want to get some advice from some experts first.
the problem was the back porch, post's have raised, coursing the water to run back on to the eave's over the years

anyhow this how I was going to do it,first rip off the boarding under the eave's,then take off the first row of tiles, and gutters, knock of the old edging, check the roof frame for rot, then nail and bolt the new edging on.
and for the back porch post's I will cut 1/2" or more off the post's, so if it raised again there will be still a good angle for the water off.
anyway I have no idea, that' why I'm asking
