Forstner bit bites

Well, I did it again! Making some wheels for a toy truck. Using a 38mm Saw-tooth Forstner in the drill stand to make fake rims. made 3 with no problems. the 4th had a hidden knot. Bit grabbed and finger holding the wheel got dragged around the bit. Blood everywhere. Lucky the doctor was across the road. No pics. It bandaged.

Always clamp the small stuff. Done that too many times and the claret usually ruins the workpiece. Hope it heals quickly.

Yep, clamp the small bits everytime - that propeller action of the timber as it is grabbed is not funny.

A distinct case of when you should listen to the fingers as the brain says "I can do this," and the fingers are saying "No you can't."

3 out of 4 are probably good odds but it is the 1 out of 4 you need to remember.
