WOODWORKING QUIZ for 15 Dec 04
Good Morning Friends,
A fellow wrote and asked the following question;
I'd like to install an auxiliary fence to my tablesaw for rabbeting.
How should I make the fence and can I leave it permanently?

Ralph,
Our rabbit fence was thought to be permanent, but in reality it needs boundary riders to continually repair it.
I suggest that something other than chain wire is needed.
Regards,
P

We use snares when rabbeting. You can make one out of fishing line and a tent peg. Traps were banned because silly sods kept putting their footsies in them.

Not sure how mobile you'd be rabbeting with a TS, although a fence would be a distinct advantage.

There are two ways to use ferrets
1. With nets
or the sportsmans method
2. No nets, use a shotgun instead to give the rabbits a sporting chance. (you do get the odd ferret instead though)
anyone got a recipe for ferret casserole?

I think it's entertainment for northerners in the UK where there's nothing better to do but play with ferrets and try and work on making your accent as ridiculous as possible..

Good Evening Friends,
You humor never ceases to amaze me, and as soon as I can dry my eyes out to finish writing I will send my little ferrets out to gather a rabbet or two to hold against the auxiliary fence to run through the table saw to take care of the necessary parts to keep the buggers from having so many babies.
To think that my granddaughter raises them for show, (rabbets) I think just for spite I'll start raising ferrets as they do make good pets. Quick little critters though.
