G'day
G'day everyoneI'm relatively new to woodworking, did some more than 30 years ago when my eldest was a bub , but 3 more kids and work left little time for it. Now I have come back to it & made 2 little ride-on bikes for my 2 youngest grandsons and have almost finished a billycart for my eldest grandson. I've done some woodturning courses & just love it so am hopefully going to buy a lathe soon .... my ultimate goal is to make a cowboy hat & when my grandmotherly projects are all finished I have 2X 7foot slabs of camphor laurel that I want to make a coffee table out of.Cheers Kat

G'day and welcome, Kat. You have quite an ambition and I hope you post WIP pics after you start.

G'day Kat and welcome to the show.
Yep, a cowboy hat is a good piece to test your skills. You will need a green blank to get the right result.
