The story continues
I have, recently, had another near encounter with this silly old coot. I reported the incident to the local traffic branch at the police station. I was told "We will get a car down there (where the car was) straight away". Nothing, he is still driving around with Vic plates in spite of an officer telling me exactly what Dan said, the car is uninsured and unregistered.
I tried the phone number of the police assistance section but they said they do not handle anything like this.
The RTA says that they only take the money, they do not police the law.
So, it appears, here is a potential fatality or an accident that will create a headache for the other driver as they try for insurance, and no one cares.
