Hi all (esp Utemad)

When I put up the deck I oiled the Merbau (Kwila) boards with Cabots Oil (natural) and as per my normal, it's "browned" and "dulled" the boards over the last year.

I want to strip it and recoat.

I used Cutek CD50 on the rails and it worked well - although weathered a little fast - needs a recoat - easy enough.

I am considering the "high tech" replacements for simple oil - Cutek CD50, Intergrain, Sikkens etc.
I want something that will not brown off like the Cabots does.

Any tips / suggestions?

The deck is covered and faces east / south. Gets morning sun over 50% of it. Overhangs are not as big as I would have liked, so it gets some weather.
75sq M, L shaped, 4.5M wide wrapping round the house. Rails are Merbau as well. Frame is mostly spotted gum. Boards are stainless screwed.

I'll definately Napi-San and scrub the deck first.

Thanx
Paul
