American made Aussie style outlets/power points
Ever see outlets like these? Turns out these were made and used in the USA in the 1940s for grounded equipment. Before our current 3 prong outlet was developed sometime in the early 1950s. Australian plugs will fit the above pictured outlets. These outlets are rated 250V @10A or 125V @15A, though I'm using them to provide 240V 60Hz (American houses are usually provided 240VAC centertapped grounded, which gives us 120V for small loads, and 240V for big stuff like water heaters and ovens.).
