Plans for old fashioned school desk
Hello.
First time here & my husband is looking for free plans to build an old fashioned type of school desk.
Child is just over 2 but wants something that will last a good few years.
Lift up writing top with storage underneath it. Box seat with lid & storeage underneath.
Anyone out there who might be able to help please.
Thanks

G'day Tugboat and welcome to the cubby.
Possibly find plans for desk with a decent Google session.
Bit wary of those desks where little fingers are concerned.
Have fun and keep asking away.

Thanks, yes I mentioned small fingers to my husband.
I have been googling forever, just can't find what he is looking for.
Maybe a roll top desk....small for a child.
Thought you guys might have some links.

Hi again Tugboat.
Neil Scobie has desk plans. You could buy a copy of The Australian Woodworker as he advertises there.
Also try The Australia Woodsmith magazine. They have lots of good plans.
He lives near Coffs Harbour so at least the plans are Australian, and if need be you could contact him for help.
