Im living in an old wooden floorboard house on Stumps.

Some of the stumps are showing signs of decay and Im planning to fix them before they become an issue.

Most of the wooden stumps seem to be concreted into the ground (quite solidly) which I like, but taking them out is going to be a bit of work.

My father suggested leaving them in and building up brick supports around them, which sounds like a great idea and Im comfortable with bricklaying so its an easy fix for me.
Would this fix cause any problem down the track though when the stumps eventually decay (inside the brick suppport column) ?????
