dust & dirt embedded in polished floor
Hi,
We have recently had spotted gum boards laid in our house and have just been through to have a look at the final polished product and noticed that the polyurethane finish is filled with bits of dirt and dust. Running my hand over the surface it feels a bit like coarse sand paper in places, and just bumpy in others.
Firstly I am assuming this is not normal?
Secondly I was after some advice on what I should expect the builder to do to fix this properly without any unnecessary damage to the boards.
He doesn't seem to worry too much about cutting corners so I want to make sure it's fix it properly.
Luckily we haven't fully paid for the job yet...
