Old paint on floorboards
Hello all
Started renovations on my old queenslander, and upon pulling up the old carpet / lino, found that a previous painter had done a messy job leaving paint on the floor. The splatters that are 'raised' have been scraped off with a 'window scraper', but the difficult ones are near the cornices.
Have tried using my Makita 'finishing' sander (with 40 grit), and metho , with no success. Am yet to hire the actual floor sander, and if necessary, I can get the edge sander (was going to try to avoid that, using my Makita) Was trying to get everything ready before hiring the equipment. And advise?
Was going to finish using Cabots CFP. Have included a quick photo of what I am on about. Also, anybody have any idea on the actual timber?
Thanks
EDIT: Alternatively, if there are any pro floor sanders that want to sand 60sqm in Chatswood (I will apply the polish), pls PM me
