Whats the best gap filler
We live in a 30's queenslander in Brisaben with VJ's through out - including the ceilings
I'm about to set about decorating our bedroom and as with the other rooms I'll gap fill all of the vj joints to get a decent finish.
The rooms we've done to date all look reasonable but some cracking in the gap filler has occured.
The first room we decorated we started off with whatever gap filler was on special at Bunnings but when I spoke to a guy at the local builder merchants he recomended Fullers more expensive filler ($7- a tube) for bigger gaps and IOI used this and the results were definately better. Given it's a labour intensive job it seemed worth the extra $60- per room.
Subsequently I now see that Fullers sell a low cost filler - which has the same ingredients and specification as the more expensive stuff on the Fuller website - I haven't been able to get an informative answer from any of the shop assistants as to teh difference between teh cheaper and more expensive tubes.
I'm not sold on anyt brand but I do want the most flexible filler that is most suitable for the big gaps we have and the fact that the gaps open and close with the seasons.
Anyone got any advice on what is the best product?
Cheers
Sam
