I renovating my home and have built an extension complete with commercial alluminium doors and windows.

I have two internal doors that I want to match so have found som 44mm partition suite which will do the job. The stud work is 90 mm timber so not the 92mm steel that would normally be used.

I have two questions.

1. when putting the door frame together do I pack it to make it square or do I just fix straight to the studwork and fix a door that is slightly out of square.

2. - second question is more generic - any advice for a beginner.

Cheers
