Skirting board question
Newbie warning
The carpet installer is coming in a few weeks and needs the skirting boards laid. In one room, the maximum skirting height that will fit is 60mm, due to reasons with the wall. But the skirting boards I have found come in 42mm and 67mm.
The 42mm seems too short, given the carpet+underlay will come almost half way up it. Can I lay the 42mm boards with a 10mm gap at the bottom, or does this just defeat the purpose? Or should I buy the 67mm and have 10mm or so height trimmed off so it will fit?
thanks
