replacing concealed hinge in chipboard
the job -
replacing self closing action concealed hinges on chipboard kitchen cabinet.
make - prestige (salice) 165 degree opening / clip-on
should have been a straight forward removal of old broken hinges and replace with new.
Problem is the screw holes for the new hinge cup don't match the old. (Thanks manufacturer !!) One hole is tantilisingly close.
Previous experience has made me wary of chipboard. I would not like to create a larger screw hole that will grip nothing. I'm thinking of filling the old screw holes with some form of hardener before attaching the new hinge cups.
Open to suggestions.................thanks Pete
