Tiling over two different surfaces
hi all, long time reader, first time poster.
About to hook into a bathroom reno, and would like to get a few opinions on techniques for tiling over concrete slab, and onto floor boards. (extending bathroom, by removing w/c to bathroom wall.) Bathroom has slab, w/c has floorboards.
What i had planned was to rip up existing tiles/bed on concrete slab, then prime the slab and floor boards, and screen in falls to waste. Now would i have some sort of expansion gap in the new bed where it goes from slab to floorboards?
And again after waterproofing over bed, when tiling should i use a flexible glue on the floorboard area?, with and expansion in the tile joint?
One last quick thing do i set the floor waste to the slab or into the surface of the bed?
sorry for all the question
thanks for any help:2tsup:
