help with blue cedar resin
Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums. I need a bit of help. My dad is a carpenter in another country. He sent me my baby's crib. It's made of Blue Cedar and has a polyurethane finish. I had it in a box for 3 months, and now, it has a very sticky yellow substance. Could this be sap? How do I get rid of it? And, can it be toxic for the baby?

How about a photo ? I've always wondered what blue spruce would look like. As for the sap... don't worry about it. Wipe it off or scrape it off. It's harmless.
