Hi
At the moment I am having flooring installed and would like to verify something.
It is a concrete pad (23 yrs old) and the installation is 85x13mm messmate direct stick to pad with a moisture barrier. Now I am working away at the mo so I had the wifey send me some pics.and I noticed in parts of the job the flooring is hard up against the walls? now I thought there has to be a 10mm expansion gap all the way around to allow for the wood to expand. So I told (well asked nicely) the wife to give the company installing it a ring and piont this out, which she duely did. They told her it is fine as the guy laying it has 2o years experince and wood only expands in one direction. I would hate to find out at a later date they where bull@##$#g me and the floor starts buckling???. see picture and they will put beading after sanding and varnish

Any input appreiciated
Peter
