Do I Pension em off...
... me work boots. The tread still has about 2,000,000 foot steps in em but the side walls have several blow outs. I brought them in February 2006 when I demolished my existing old house and built a new one. I wore them for 9 months solid and then every weekend since. They have endured everything a demolition/construction site was thrown at them.
The side walls now collect dirt and flig it out when I walk inside thus I get yelled at... regularly. I still enjoy wearing them.

No doubt they are the most comfortable foot coverings you own. A few months back I was courageous and disposed of three pairs of pre-loved work boots, all of which, looked similar to your's.

If they are anything like mine. Do they come to you if you call them?? I have two pairs one for the garden and the "good" pair for going out in, although my wife doesn't seem to understand.

For gods sake take them out the back, shoot them and put them out of there misery.

I think they deserve to sit quietly on the veranda. And maybe get called on occasionally to take the rubbish out just for old times sake.

They are long gone for a building site, once any of the steel cap starts showing they are a electrical hazard & not allowed onsite.

I don't think the tread looks road legal either, few bald spots there. Yesterday i was looking for an old pair of boots to do some concreteing and one of the pairs i found look to be in better shape than my current ones. Does that mean it's time for work to buy me a new pair?

Keep 'em and keep wearin' 'em. There's nothing more comfortable than an old pair of sneakers or an old jumper .
