Default insuring tools, wood and unfinished stuff

currently looking for some insurance as i have gathered a lot of tools and timber over the past few years. as i do a little taxable trade out of my workshop i find i am not covered by household insurance.

as we approach the fire season i am feeling a little vulnerable.

i know there are others here who have similar - i am wondering what can be done to minimise exposure to risk in this area.

i just rec'd a quote on some insurance at over $2.5k
inside 3 years i could have replaced all my tools and more with that kinda money

dunno what's more fun, buyin' the tools or usin' em'

I insure my tools as part of my Business insurance. I doubt that they would be covered for bush fire damage though. (mainly theft). All up, I pay about $900 a year. (Tools covered up to $5000)
