Subfloor cellar excavation ideas.
I've been thinking of ways I could get a cellar in for years. I've always thought that under one corner of the house would be the sinplest of a bad situation. The ground is about 900mm below the beaers so I need to excavate about 1.3m. Recently I had to do some other work so I have good access on 2 sides. The block is close to level so I'm not going to dig into slope its really going striaght down. I have limited room so it can only go under the house.
The crux appears to be digging the hole in a reasonable way and supporting the house, while I dig and while the room is built.
Does anyone have any experience trying to do something like this they could share, or suggestions on how it sould be tackled. Unfortunatley demolition, dig and build are not options.
