Cheap Fence Stain/Oil/Paint?
Hi there, I would like to hear some ideas I could consider to cover my timber fence (treated pine). The fence has been pretty cheap so far (gone half in costs with next door) and I was a little disappointed to see that fence stain or oil from the shop could cost another $100 to $200. The fence is only 24 metres and is only one side of the property. Only a small part is actually quite noticeable as it runs along the back behind the garage for most of it. I can get the next door house to go half costs in this although they will be hard to convince to pay much.
I was thinking about things like cheap vegetable oil (Homebrand etc).
I would rather it looked good and get a nice dark coloured stain/oil but I think I'm going to have to find a cheap alternative so please post whatever comes to mind.
