    Read on crikey web site that the above koala was rescued 1 week before the fires at a controlled burnoff.

    The Koala should be arrested.....that's straight out fraud.

    Seriously though...the footage helped bring the world's attention to the devestating bushfires and no doubt inspired more than a few people to cough up loot into the various charities set up to help out bushfire victims.

    Perhaps they'll think twice now about stuffing him and putting him along side Phar Lap.

    Maybe with Ned Kelly instead ?
