Silver finish for Sax.
I have an old saxophone that I want to renovate and I was wondering if any one knew of a product that could apply a siver finish to brass. I haven't looked into getting it plated but I can guess it would be expensive.

Adrian,
It seems a pity to go to a bit of trouble and fall short because of a few dollars?
If you can't afford plating, why not polish off all the plating and leave the original material polished and clear lacquered?
Cheers,

I have taken all the keys back to bare brass and used a clear lacquer but I'm not impressed by the look of the brass.
Since posting, I've found a product called Inca Silver Plating Solution which looks like it might do the job in conjunction with the lacquer.
Thanks for the feedback.

Adrian,
I'm not prepared to disclose why I was on this site!
Oh ok, I was looking through their wooden bike links..... but this link looks pretty darned interesting..I'd still go for the real job if possible though!

It's interesting. It looks like another one of those products that comes out of the current nano research.

Why don't you try silver plating it yourself?
After all it's not rocket science.
All you'd need is an ounce of silver ($20?) and a battery charger. plus some eloctrolyte
