Some people do eat my extra roosters, though you would think there isn't much on one. But I can't keep all the boys, so, I generally don't ask what they are going to do with them.

BantyMom, If I am remembering correctly, in an earlier post you mentioned you were awaiting an Australian breed bird. Would that be an Australorp, please?

I am working on making a new variety (color) of Belgian Bearded d'Uccle that you have in Australia (and France) that we don't have here called "Ermine" (though some call it "Silver") and it's very pretty, a white bird with black spots all over.
These two are Mille Fleur color (roo and hen):

If you genetically change the buff color to white, you get ermine:

I don't have Australorps (great birds!), though I do have Orpingtons, which was one of the breeds used to develop the Australorp but which are fatter.
