What's the legal height of a ceiling in qld or australia?
Is there a minimum height? And for what reason is there a minimum height?
I imagine if your ceiling was only 6 foot off the ground it would be an issue.
But for instance if the law says 8 foot is too low. Why is that?

I believe it is 2.4 (it is in NSW). That's the minimum height for a habitable room anyway. You can have lower sections in alcoves or whatever but the main part of the ceiling has to be 2.4.
I guess it is to stop developers from building low-ceilinged rooms to save money in units etc. I don't know why that particular measurement was chosen, but if you are 6' tall, then you can just touch it with your feet flat on the ground."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."
