Shower grate/waste under shower door?
Hi, I am currently owner building and have just passed lockup stage. The bathroom plumbing rough in has been done and we were to have a shower waste grate run along the back of the shower. We are going with a tiled shower base and thought it's would be the same hight as the bathroom floor however it was only after getting quotes from tilers & waterproofers that I was told that since the shower floor can't be recess (currently same hight as rest of bathroom) that there would be a step of about 40mm into the shower. We didnt want this so the only solution I could come up with is moving the waste to the front of the shower thus the rise would be at the back then.
Is this ok as long as it goes the whole way across the door. Would the tiles on the other side need to be angled too or can they remain flat. Is this an ok solution? just need to know before i have the plumber move the waste next week before the plasteres start.
thanks
