Another Painting Question - Sealer/binder over top coat?
Last night I started scraping paint from my ceiling in my kitchen & dining area in areas where I could see paint starting to flake.
4 hours later I found I had scrapped all the paint from the ceiling, back to bare plasterboard, with only the paint on the plastboard joins remaining in tack and difficult to remove. (What a mess on the floor!)
My next step will be to apply some base and top coat to some areas needing patching and along the joins to feather out the ridges made by the reminaing paint.
However, after all this is done and sanded, I am wondering what I should use as a sealer. As there will be a lot of top coat, should I use a sealer or a sealer/binder type product on the entire ceiling? It seems to me the sealer/binder is the way to go?
