stripping old wooden floors
Im renting a Belt sander this weekend from bunnings
and not sure what sand paper to start with
the floor is Baltic Pine its in good condition but as ive added a couple of boards
where a wall use to be
so i have desided to sand the whole house
would it be ok to start at 60 grit or will it be to high
its manly only to strip the old finish off to raw timber no leveling is required
as the floor is dead flat
also would i bother sanding at 45s to the boards as it doesnt need leveling
ive read all the posts on sanding floors any last tips on getting a good job
the finish ive selected is Cabots gloss oil based Poly and using a lambswool pad to apply
also would i need to cut in if im using a lambswool pad the bloke a the paint shop told me i wouldnt need to
