Available for three (usually coldest) months of any year, pleasant hosts, 5 star vomit inducing food, plenty of bullrings for all to play in.

I would think it would be very nice to visit Edinburgh in the winter, as long as you could come back here to the warmth after your visit.

The best two parts of Edinburgh are the military tattoo and the road out ....
But then again I dont like Glasgow either.

Spot on Greg, I was there in August for the bivouac, Cudlee Creek, luverly spot for a picnic, crawling through the concrete pipes (on base) in the middle of winter knowing that the sheep had spent a few nights in them too.
