Restaining timber?
Hi Guys,
I'm looking at buying a bar for my family room, but all the ones I have found are the wrong colour. I want a more modern looking black bar but all I can find are brown ones, mahogany, teak, blackwood type colours.
Is it possible to recolour it? would it need sanding back to bare timber then re-staining in black?
If its possible to do, I may just buy a 2nd hand one out the trading post and redo it.
Or am I just wasting my time completely?
thanks

Why not ask the shop if they can get one finiahed in black for you. It's highly possible they can and probably for little or no extra cost.
