Default The 2005/06 Windies Cricket Thread

So, there I was on the first day of the first test, at the Gabba (as is my want), when conversation turned to the rather large number of blonde girly-boys in the team.

No, not the Windies team, they've only got one, and he hasn't had a run-on yet.

In particular, one Shane Watson, picked we thought because he could well be the "new" Shane after the old one dies. Among our number, we could name 12 members of the Queensland Sheffield Shield ( ) team, who should have been picked in front of him, and as if to prove a point gives up after one test, after falling over on his NON BOWLING arm.

Now I've got this pommy bloke coming to stay shortly, and he's expecting to see a vanquished team, one with no heart, no talent, no prospects, and all I can say is that if we keep filling it with blonde-boys, he may be right.

At least Andy's got a gurnsey for the next one!

    Cheers,

    P

Andy should never play for Australia again!

Attitude is a problem and bad for the team. leave him out. Put in Hodge.

Clarke has probably got two tests before he is axed too.

The Kat has gone, you'll have to watch the news more often.

He bowls 3 crap balls an over and is a prick. Other than that, I can't see any reason not to include him.

I think some where along the line he has of a selector or two, and they now have a vendetta against him, bit like the Dean Jones(the excitement machine) days, remember that?

And his mouth was too bloody big as well.

These days, you have to play for NSW or QLD to get a run.

I think Andy was picked 'cos he is soooo intimidating to the Windies chaps.

I mean, if a white fella dressed up as a Golliwog it'd be called offensive, but when a Jamaican Pommy Queenslander does it, it's called "don't mind him he spends a lot of time in the hot sun".

Is them whart lips and fuzzy wuzzy hayer cooooool or what??

P (any mate of Mat Hayden's is good enough for me)

Victoria just needs to produce some good cricketers.

Unless you sleep with selectors wives,
    and the scorers wives,
    and the team busdriver's girlfriend,
and the girls who sell the tickets at the gate,
and the mothers of the kids playing kanga cricket during lunch,
    and the other teams fanclub
    and.......

let's face it, there's only room for one Victorian on the team!

    Cheers,

    P

We only need one. He's good enough to carry the rest.
Is there anything easier done than said?
