finishing ply wood
hi everyone,
well I'm making a camper trailer kitchen out of ply. I am wondering what i should finish it in. It will get wet from the washing up etc. It will get some direct sun during the day it stays out. i want something i can do once and do properly and never be worried again. ( I know it will need doing again one day but i don't want to do it every 4 times i use it) the top will be laminated with a light granite look alike so i would like to keep the sides and front as timber and not painted with any colours.
maybe a clear polyurethane would be ok, or a decking finish. iv use slikens before on a custom timber tray i had on a hilux which worked good except being in the sun and rain allot i had to re-coat often.
any help would be very helpful and appreciated.
cheers Sean

What ever you use make sure to wet the ply down and sand it finely beforehand or use a sanding sealer like this one first or whatever you apply will feel like someone has thrown a hand full of sand on to it.
