Im currently in the process of ripping my whole kitchen and living room to peices in an older 40'sish house which is all jarah. The Floorboards are in dodgy condition and over a span of about 4m it sinks away a good 30-40mm. The living room area is a badly constructed extension already built on a brick slab with carpet at the moment. They have tried to level it out already by applying cement straight on the floorboard to get it semi ok i guess. My plan is to rip out carpet and lino thats in the kitchen and make the whole floor uniform, probably with a floating timber floor or something similar. However floating floors have a 2mm max deviation, which is my main dilemma.

I have sorted out all drainage issues, so floor will not sink any more.
The question is how do i level something that has such a great slope. i would prefer not to rip up floor boards and put in new joists and the like, so hopefully theres a better way..

am i able to pack it with masonite?... and if this was done how are you able to install this without having a lip where you install..
