My mate had just returned from a woodworking show and
I happened to ask where it was.

Well he tried and tried but simply could not recall the place
so in desperation he asked me, "What is a plant that can
grow against a stake or does very well against a wall?"

I suggested that perhaps the answer could be a rose.

"That's it, that's the one" he remarked, then called out
to his wife, "Rose, where was that woodworking show?"
